About Project

Cascades Casino Delta is a mid-size gaming and entertainment facility located on a 400,000 sq. ft. site near the south end of the George Massey Tunnel. The vision for this casino was a full-service entertainment destination with a casual ambiance and the scale and amenities associated with a big-city entertainment facility, including exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

The project involved a total floor area of 161,000 sq. ft., which includes a 42,227 sq. ft. casino floor and 124 guest rooms within an attached five-storey hotel building (built by another developer). Guests can enjoy over 500 slot machines and gaming tables. The casino also features dining options such as MATCH Eatery & Public House, Summit Bar, and The Buffet.

Our Approach And Solution

The expansion includes eight additional wide-body gates, four jet bridge gates and four remote stand operation bus gates to increase capacity in the international terminal. The new restaurants and bars, retail areas, digital art and pet relief area improve the passenger experience. An iconic showpiece within the expansion is an island forest, complete with three live hemlock trees and contained within an open-air glass atrium.

What Customers Say?

St. Joseph Neighborhood Center

Community

The objective of this project was to rehabilitate the historic St. Benedict School building in downtown St. Augustine and use it as a Neighborhood Center. Maverick provided civil design for associated utility connections, ADA connections to adjacent sidewalks, and stormwater management utilizing pervious pavers for the parking lot. The design incorporated efforts to have low environmental impact by working around the existing mature trees and using the pervious paver parking lot for dry retention.

We enjoyed working on this project, as the St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center offers one-on-one counseling, educational opportunities, case management, and supportive services to low-income single mothers.

Educational

Public K-8 Charter School project with playfields, parking, utilities, a lift station, and stormwater management.

What made it unique:

Lacking a legal positive outfall, this design required collaboration with adjacent developers to create a cascading stormwater system leading to Big Davis Creek. Maverick also contributed to FDOT roadway improvements, adding turn lanes.
